Hi, I'm Rebecca

I founded Foxfield Psychology because I believe that the most effective therapeutic support combines theory and evidence with warmth and compassion.

My background and training means that I bring a range of experiences and ideas to our work together, adapting to your specific needs rather than simply using a 'one-size-fits-all' approach.

As a BABCP Accredited CBT Therapist with additional clinical training, I’m here to offer a partnership where you are empowered to understand the 'why' behind your patterns and to support you towards your goals.

My approach

I believe that therapy works best when it feels less like a clinical appointment and more like a meaningful, honest conversation. My approach is rooted in compassion and warmth, but I also value the role of humour and personality in the therapeutic process. I show up as myself and take the time to understand you and how we can work best together.

Rather than just looking at a list of symptoms, my work is formulation-driven. This means we work together to build a unique "map" of your life, integrating my training in CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, DBT and ACT to understand how your past experiences and current patterns connect. This personalised blueprint allows us to be purposeful and creative in finding a way forward.

My approach is shaped by over 15 years of experience across the NHS, private sectors, and charities. Having worked as a Clinical Lead and Supervisor, I don’t just look at therapy through one lens; I draw on a career where I have supported adults, children and young people with their mental health challenges, guided parents through the unique challenges of raising families and worked within care-experienced, minority ethnic and neurodivergent communities as well as supporting trainee and qualified psychotherapists and psychologists in their practice.

This broad background means I am deeply committed to an inclusive and affirming way of working—one that respects your identity and is rooted firmly in your individual values.

When we work together, you can expect a space that is as safe as it is purposeful. I believe in a balance: providing the warmth you need to feel supported, alongside the honest challenge required to spark real change.

Whether I am supporting a young person, an adult, a parent or a professional, my goal is to provide a bespoke, flexible partnership that helps you gain the clarity and confidence to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.

Why Foxfield?

People ask where the name Foxfield Psychology came from. It takes me back to my roots in the Cheshire countryside, where some of my fondest memories are of watching foxes and badgers regularly visiting our garden. When I decided to rebrand from Eden Therapy and Wellbeing Services, I wanted to combine my years of academic research in psychology, therapeutic services and training workshops under one umbrella.
I also wanted a name that captured the calm, steadiness of nature and paid respect to some of my happiest memories.
