Clinical supervision

A collaborative space for reflection

Effective supervision is more than a clinical requirement; it is a vital space for professional growth, resilience, and ethical safety. With over 15 years of experience across the NHS and private sectors, I provide high-quality clinical supervision to a diverse range of practitioners. Whether you are a trainee or an experienced clinician, my goal is to offer a supportive yet appropriately challenging environment where you can deepen your practice and refine your clinical decision-making.

Who I support

My experience as a Head of Service, Clinical Lead, Lecturer and Supervisor allows me to provide tailored support across various disciplines, including:

Psychological Practitioners: Trainee and qualified CBT Therapists, EMHPs, and PWPs, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and specialised therapeutic staff.

Community & Family Support: Social Prescribers, family support workers, school staff and charity-based practitioners.

My supervisory approach

I believe that the best clinical work happens when practitioners feel safe enough to be vulnerable and curious. My style is rooted in collaborative reflection rather than a didactic "top-down" approach. I rarely dictate; instead, I facilitate a process where we explore your work together to unlock new perspectives and ideas.

To provide structure to this process, I utilise the Newcastle 'Cakestand' Model. This framework ensures our sessions remain focused and balanced, covering:

The Clinical Work: Deep-diving into formulation and intervention.

Professional Development: Nurturing your growth and identity as a practitioner.

Self-Care & Resilience: Acknowledging the personal impact of clinical work.

The Supervisory Relationship: Ensuring our partnership is working effectively for you.

I offer both individual and group supervision, tailored to the specific requirements of your professional body (such as BABCP) or organisational needs. Sessions are delivered online, providing a flexible, values-based space to enhance your clinical excellence.
